Welcome to Hillsborough

Diverse and friendly, this town offers plenty of outdoor recreation

Characterized by acres of rich farmland and rolling hills, this Central New Jersey township is just one hour to all shore points and one hour away from both Philadelphia and New York City. Picturesque and charming, Hillsborough features several small villages, quiet neighborhoods, and a quaint, small-town atmosphere.

Located in the Raritan Valley region, this 55-square-mile territory is home to around 40,000 residents and more than 10,000 families. There’s a countryside vibe here, and newer construction dominates the market. Zoning laws require one-acre lots in Hillsborough, so properties are expansive.

There are plenty of attractions nearby: residents can catch an outdoor concert at the PNC Arts Center or shop for designer deals at the Jersey Shore Outlets. During the summer, locals soak up the sun in Asbury Park, Point Pleasant, and Long Branch.
